I’ve been working with Owairaka since 2003. It’s a great community who are rightfully proud of what their school has to offer. The school is supported by a parent community who come from a wide range of backgrounds. The school reflects the community that it comes from. Redesigning this website was a real challenge. The school is supported by a strong community and wanted to be able to share what was happening with community members. The school is proud of its ability to serve the needs of the local community. The website features a rotating header image. Educational consultants Pam Hook and Julie Mills showcase their work and share many resources. This site integrates a Google Calendar, Wikispace wiki, onsite Dokuwiki and a Twitter stream. The school has its own stand of native bush and has a long tradition of learning from its own environment.
