Maintenance

It’s Sunday afternoon and I’m doing a bit of a site tidy up. Anyone who regularly visits my site will know that it’s a regular occurence and that, a bit like its owner, my site is a work in progress (and probably always will be).

I’m quite keen on my current theme, Ism, by Headsetoptions. It’s a clean and simple design and there is a bit of room to play with the options. It’s not quite right, of course, but that’s part of the fun.
After a few months of using Shortstat, a wicked WordPress plugin, I’ve gone back to Sitemeter. Shortstat is great but the database table grew out of hand so I decided to ditch the thing. I’m not so interested in the number of visits but more in the referral pages – like this rather bizarre (and loose) search string. Why? Who? Where? Wow.

I need to sort out my links which don’t really reflect my current reading list and also look at some of the other stuff in the sidebar. My tag cloud has found its place again. I’ve put a Ma.gnolia link in as well. After a while switching between furl and del.icio.us and Ma.gnolia I’ve decided to see what would happen if I started again. Ping! One empty Ma.gnolia account. I do like a clean slate.
