This is the first afternoon that I’ve spent at home since … the 2nd of June. It’s been bliss. I’ve cooked, I’ve cleaned (well a little bit), I’ve played my guitars. I’ve almost completely caught up with my RSS feeds which is a first for several months. It’s a good feeling although some of that Feed-Reader-Zero state was achieved by some ruthless culling.
When I work with people who want to “do some blogging” or “do some podcasting” the first question I always ask is if they have ever read any blogs or listened to any podcasts. You’d be surprised how many haven’t! It’s an interesting idea and while I applaud anyone who wants to step out of the square and create something entirely new it’s probably a good thing to know a little about the genre first. And that’s where I am at. I’ve been pretty slack in the blog department recently. Slack with both reading and writing. I haven’t spent enough time reading and that has meant that my blog writing juice has completely dried up. And I feel like I have forgotten how.
So here’s my plan. Little and often. Just like my photoblog. Like the way that I am (painfully) learning to play the electric guitar.

Yeah well “Feed Reader” videos look all very interesting, but, some of us poor plebs have to write reports in our first day off since June 2nd.
