This is the point of imagination and vision. When people are threatened by change, by the implication that the old is wrong and that the new is the only way, it’s often because the new is presented starkly and without imagination.

My job is about initiating change. People tell me how easy it is for me. Probably from their shoes it does look easy to be in my size eights. That’s not the point. The point is that if I am to be an agent in their change (initiated by others, not always from me), then I need to capture some ideas and present them imaginatively.
