I had a catch up day today. There was bit of paperwork to do and a mass of emails to send (and receive). There were a couple of small jobs to be done and a few little purchases to make. I made the visit to Trickie Dickies that I needed to make and while I was [...] I’ve been fiddling around with some new stuff on the eee PC. Things like tethering my cellphones for internet access (via USB and bluetooth) and updating Google Earth, VLC, VNC and RDP. My family often accuse me of hiding inside my technology and, it’s true – especially when I feel yuckky. Anyway, here are a few [...] I’ve just hit the big seven-oh on my photo blog. The milestone picture was taken at Dick Smith Electronics today. The kind folk at DSE had stuck a nice bright Norton Internet Security sticker on the eee PC. They hadn’t done the same with the nice shiney Mac Book Air sitting just a metre away. Surely [...] Confirming that you can use a projector with the EeePc. My aging Epson EMP-S1 worked flawlessly. I was able to play a movie, try out some games and was generally impressed. As was one of my kittens as can be seen in the video.

It came from a zoomed [...] On Monday of this week I went to Dick Smith Electronics and bought an EeePc (that in itself was quite funny as the sales droid proceeded to ex-plain in words of one syl-la-ble that this was-n’t a real com-pu-ter but was really a toy ma-dam.
